Introduction

Accounting Slovakia spol. s r.o. provides the following information on the processing of natural persons’ data in order to fully comply with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Information Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (Privacy Act.).

What personal data is collected?

In all cases, consent is voluntary and informed and is given by the data subject after having read this privacy notice.

The data held by the data controller are processed exclusively by the employees of the data controller involved in the implementation of the data management purposes set out in this information notice, who are bound by confidentiality obligations in respect of all data they have access to.

Purposes of the processing:

  1. Consultation applications
    The data received in the contact form will be kept for 2 weeks. This information will not be used for marketing purposes, only for contacting as requested.

 

Cookie management (cookies)

The website operated by the data controller uses so-called “cookies” to collect profile and status data to identify data subjects and track visitors. Cookies are data that are temporarily transferred from the browser program to the hard drive of the visitor’s computer when the website is visited and are necessary for the visit to the website, but cannot be used on their own to identify the visitor. Cookies provide additional functionality to the website and help us to better measure the use of the website.

According to the Privacy Act, the use of cookies is possible with the prior consent of the visitor, who is, therefore, able to accept or reject cookies. However, if the visitor chooses to refuse cookies, he or she may not be able to use the interactive features of the website fully.

When using the website, the following data is recorded and processed about the visitor and the device used for browsing:

  • the IP address used by the visitor;
  • the browser type;
  • the characteristics of the operating system of the browsing device (language set);
  • the date of the visit;
  • the (sub)page, feature or service visited.

Accepting or authorising the use of cookies is not mandatory. You can reset your browser settings to reject all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. While most browsers automatically accept cookies by default, these can usually be changed to prevent automatic acceptance and will offer you the choice each time.

Retention period for personal data

Personal data will be deleted at the request of the data subject at any time, at the same time as unsubscribing from the newsletter service. When making a purchase, the data which are included in invoices (name, address), because we are required to keep the accounting records for at least 10 years under the relevant accounting legislation.

The controller will destroy the personal data concerned in a secure manner, in accordance with the time limits specified.

What rights do visitors have in relation to their own data?

The data subject, i.e. you, has the right to request access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of personal data concerning him or her and to object to the processing of such personal data, as well as the right to data portability.

  1. Right to information: at your request, the controller shall provide you with detailed information about the data it processes, the purposes and duration of the processing, the activities related to the processing, as well as who is receiving your data and for what purposes. The information shall be sent by the controller in writing, in an intelligible form, by electronic means to the e-mail address provided by the data subject as soon as possible after the request has been made, but not later than 30 days after the request.
  2. Right of access: you have the right to receive feedback from our foundation on whether your personal data is being processed, and if so, you have the right to access your personal data processed by the controller. In this way, you can check that your personal data are processed in accordance with data protection legislation.
  3. Right to rectification: you have the right to request the rectification or integration of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  4. Right to erasure: the right to erasure, also known as the “right to be forgotten”, ensures that you may request the erasure of your personal data when the processing is no longer strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was processed or collected and in other cases. This does not, however, imply an absolute obligation to erasure. The controller may refuse erasure where, for example, the processing of the data is required by law or where there is another legal ground for processing the data or a legitimate aim for processing the data.
  5. Right to restriction of processing: you have the right to restrict further processing of your personal data in certain situations. In certain circumstances, we may restrict the processing of your personal data.
  6. Right to object: you have the right to object to certain processing. The controller shall examine the objection, with simultaneous suspension of processing, within the shortest possible time from receipt of the request, but not later than 15 days, and shall inform the data subject in writing of the outcome of the objection. If the controller finds that the data subject’s objection is justified, it shall terminate the processing and block the data and shall notify the objection and the action taken on the basis of it to all those to whom it has previously disclosed the data affected by the objection and who are obliged to take action to enforce the right to object.
  7. Right to data portability: you have the right to request a copy of certain personal data processed by the controller and to have it transferred to another controller.

 

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing at any time, but the withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent prior to its withdrawal.

How do we protect your personal data?

To ensure the security of your personal data, we have put in place technical, administrative and physical security measures to ensure that only those who are authorised to access and use your personal data for the purposes for which they are collected. To this end, we take the following measures:

  • we have procedures in place to ensure that the data we collect, store and process are protected; we take appropriate measures to protect the data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, damage, disclosure, unauthorised disclosure or access;
  • we classify and treat personal data as confidential and impose confidentiality obligations on employees in relation to the processing of personal data;
  • restrict access to personal data by setting levels of access rights for customers and financial processes;
  • IT systems are protected by firewalls and virus protection;
  • electronic data processing and record-keeping is carried out by means of a computer program that meets the requirements of data security; the program ensures that data are only accessed for the purpose for which they are intended and under controlled conditions by those persons who need to have access to them in order to perform their tasks;
  • appropriate technical solutions are in place to ensure that data stored in the records cannot be directly linked and attributed to the data subject;
  • ensure adequate physical protection of the data and the devices and documents carrying them (password protection on the computer of the employee handling the data).

 

What procedures do we follow in the event of a data breach?

If the data subject does not agree with the controller’s decision to object or if the controller does not make a statement within the time limit, the data subject may take the matter to court within 30 days of the decision being notified or the last day of the time limit. The court shall decide the case out of turn. Please note that you may also bring the case before the court of your place of residence or domicile at your choice.

Please also note that you can lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority and initiate an investigation by lodging a complaint that a personal data breach has occurred or is imminent.

How can you contact us?

You can contact the operator of the accountingslovakia.eu website using the contact details provided in the “Data Controller Information” section above.

The data controller deletes all e-mails received by it, including the sender’s name, e-mail address, date, time and other personal data provided in the message, after a maximum of 5 years from the date of the communication.

We inform our visitors that the data controller may be contacted by a court, prosecutor’s office, investigating authority, law enforcement authority, administrative authority, the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, or other bodies authorised by law to provide information, disclosure or documents. In this case, the controller shall disclose to the authorities – provided that the authority concerned has indicated the precise purpose and scope of the data – personal data only to the extent and to the extent strictly necessary for the purpose of the request.

The data controller reserves the right and undertakes to amend its data protection policy in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and practice.

The data controller shall provide information on any changes to its processing on its central website prior to their entry into force.
